What you need
A xAI account and an API key. Usage is billed by xAI to your account.
Set it up
- Sign in at console.x.ai and create an API key. Copy it.
- In Infinity, open Settings ▸ Accounts and models and choose xAI.
- Press Paste API key, then Verify. Infinity lists the models your key can use.
- Pick a model in the model menu and start a chat.
Good to know
- Your API key is saved in your macOS Keychain and only ever sent to xAI.
- What you send goes straight from your Mac to xAI, under their terms and privacy policy.
