Infinity Download

Privacy.

Infinity is a Mac app with no Infinity server. No account, no sign-up and no analytics in the app. We never see your chats, files or keys.

Effective November 4, 2026

This policy covers the Infinity app for Mac and this website, infinitychat.app. Both are made by Amp Dynamic (“we”). It’s written to be read; if anything is unclear, ask us.

The short versionThe app keeps your data on your Mac and sends messages only to the AI provider you choose, with your key or plan. We don’t collect anything from the app. This website counts visits only if you accept.

The app

What stays on your Mac

  • Chats, projects, assistants, automations and settings are saved in ~/Library/Application Support/Infinity, with a daily backup there for the last 5 days.
  • API keys are saved in your macOS Keychain.
  • The file search index holds short pieces of text from folders you chose, so Infinity can find them by meaning.
  • Images you make and crash reports are saved in the same folder. Crash reports are never uploaded; after a crash Infinity offers to email one, and it goes only if you press Send.
  • Models you download are saved where their apps keep them, such as Hugging Face’s cache, Ollama or LM Studio.
  • The troubleshooting log is off by default. When you turn it on, it records which agent commands ran and how they ended, never message text.

Each provider’s own privacy policy covers what they do with what you send them. Choose a local model when you want nothing to leave your Mac.

Your control

  • Export everything: Settings ▸ General ▸ Your data puts your chats and settings in one zip.
  • Delete: deleting a chat moves it to the archive; delete it there to remove it for good. Settings ▸ Developer ▸ Reset Infinity removes everything and moves the old data folder to the Trash.
  • Agents and files: Infinity Code and assistants can change files and run commands only in the folders you give them, as far as you allow. Secrets you add to a Code project stay on your Mac and are never sent to a model.

This website

infinitychat.app is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser and the page requested) to run and protect the site.

Analytics, only if you accept. When you first visit, we ask whether we may use PostHog to see how the site is used, such as which sections people read and what they click. Nothing loads until you press Accept. If you decline, or your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, we don’t ask and nothing is collected. Your choice is saved in your browser; change it any time with Website analytics at the bottom of any page.

When you accept, PostHog (in the United States) receives page views, clicks on things like the download button, and basic device information. We use it only to improve this website. We don’t sell it, and we don’t use it for advertising.

The site has no ads, no social media trackers and no third-party cookies for advertising.

Children

Infinity isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. AI providers set their own age requirements.

Your rights

Because the app keeps your data on your Mac, you have it all and can export or delete it yourself. For website analytics, decline or withdraw consent any time, or email us to ask what we hold and to delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top and note real changes in what’s new.
