Apple Intelligence in Infinity.

Apple’s on-device model, with nothing to download or pay for.

What you need

A Mac with Apple silicon and Apple Intelligence turned on. Making pictures with Image Playground needs macOS 15.4 or newer.

In Infinity, open Settings ▸ Accounts and models ▸ Apple Intelligence.
If it’s off, press the button that opens System Settings ▸ Apple Intelligence & Siri and turn it on. Infinity checks again when you come back.
Choose Apple Intelligence in the model menu and start a chat.

Apple’s model is small and quick. It’s good for short questions and summaries; for long or hard questions, add a bigger local or cloud model too.
Right after you turn it on, macOS may still be downloading parts of it. Give it a few minutes.
